Non-Veterinary Volunteers
Occasionally FARVets will invite volunteers without a veterinary background. These individuals care deeply about animal welfare and often have some companion animal volunteer experience, but have not pursued these interests professionally. Fluency in the language of a non-English speaking destination is very advantageous.
Volunteers pay an $800 support fee to FARVets which covers medical supplies, meals, housing and transportation for the duration of the trip. Volunteers are responsible for booking and paying for their own airfare to and from the clinic site.
Volunteers assist with surgery prep, recovery and communicating with pet owners while immersed in another culture. If you are interested in volunteering for a FARVets trip, please complete the form below.
