Field, Abroad, Reaching-out Veterinarians
Welcome To FARVets
We are a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to promoting animal welfare domestically and abroad through sterilization, wellness and education.
"The FARVets trip was an outstanding experience, and I am so thrilled that this program was established. Getting the clinical experience was important, but more importantly I was learning about international veterinary medicine."
Natasha Hodgson DVM 2014
You Can Help
Donations go towards implementing sterilization and wellness clinics both in the U.S. and abroad.
FARVets plans, organizes, and implements clinics to assist animal welfare groups in the US and abroad. FARVets is a new 501(c)3 non profit organization, but Paul Maza, DVM, PhD, Katie Emerson, DVM, Jami Landry, LVT and Nadine Cross, LVT have been running clinic trips since 2010. We have partnered with small grassroots animal welfare groups in Mexico, Belize, Costa Rica, Grenada, Nicaragua and Bulgaria. Working alongside our animal welfare partners in needy places abroad and in the US, FARVets addresses overpopulation issues, educates about pet health and wellness and the human/animal bond, and provides a meaningful international experience for veterinary students.
